Model number 2612CRPFFC just showed up on Geekbench, and it’s tied to a Xiaomi tablet that hasn’t been announced yet. That’s usually a reliable sign a launch isn’t far off, since companies typically only start running certified benchmark tests once a device is nearing its public reveal.
According to a report by Notebookcheck, the listing was first spotted by leaker Anvin on X, and it points squarely at the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro, the tablet expected to sit just below the recently launched Pad 9 Pro Max in Xiaomi’s lineup.
What the Benchmark Actually Shows
The tested unit runs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, listed under Qualcomm’s SM8845P identifier, in an octa-core layout pairing two cores at 3.80GHz with six cores at 3.32GHz. Graphics duties fall to an Adreno 829 GPU, and the sample that ran the test had 12GB of RAM on board, running Android 17.
Scores came in at 2,075 points single-core and 8,750 multi-core, both on Geekbench 7. Two things are worth flagging before reading much into those numbers. First, this is an early test sample, so retail firmware and final software optimization will likely shift the results by the time the tablet actually ships. Second, Geekbench 7 uses a different scoring scale than Geekbench 6, the version most current phone and tablet comparisons still rely on, which makes these particular numbers hard to line up against anything else currently on the market.
Filling In the Rest of the Spec Sheet
Beyond the chip, earlier leaks have painted a fuller picture of what to expect. The Pad 9 Pro is rumored to carry a 12.5-inch LCD panel at 3.2K resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate, alongside an 11,000mAh battery and 67W wired charging. Stacked against the current Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, which uses an 11.2-inch display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and a 9,200mAh battery, that would represent a real jump in both screen size and battery capacity.

Where It Sits in Xiaomi’s Growing Tablet Lineup
Xiaomi is clearly building out a tiered tablet strategy this generation rather than offering a single flagship model. The Pad 9 Pro Max already launched in China carrying Xiaomi’s own Xring O3 chip, a 13.3-inch 3.4K display, a 12,000mAh battery, and 120W charging, with pricing starting at 4,799 yuan. The Pad 9 Pro, by contrast, takes Qualcomm’s flagship silicon into a smaller, presumably cheaper body, and a standard Pad 9 is also expected to round out the bottom of the lineup on an 11.2-inch panel.
Reserving the in-house Xring O3 chip exclusively for the top-tier Pro Max, while giving the Pro model Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 instead, is a clear signal of how Xiaomi is segmenting the range this time: custom silicon as the flagship differentiator, third-party chips everywhere below it.
When Might It Actually Launch
Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed the Pad 9 Pro or its pricing yet, but a model number surfacing on Geekbench this close to an already-established launch cycle typically points to an announcement within a matter of weeks rather than months. For context, the outgoing Pad 8 Pro reached international markets in February after its initial China debut, which offers a rough timeline for how long buyers outside China might have to wait once the Pad 9 Pro is formally announced at home.
