Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max European prices have leaked again, and honestly, I’m not sure fans are going to like what they’re seeing. A new report reveals the expected French prices, storage configurations, and battery specifications for both flagships ahead of their international release.
The biggest surprise? The Xiaomi 18 Pro could start at €1,399, while the Pro Max may cost as much as €1,799. That’s serious flagship money, especially when the European versions reportedly come with smaller batteries than their Chinese counterparts.
Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max European Prices Revealed
According to a new report from Dealabs Magazine, citing reliable tipster billbil-kun, Xiaomi is preparing two storage configurations for each device in France.
Here’s the leaked pricing breakdown:
| Model | RAM + Storage | France Price |
|---|---|---|
| Xiaomi 18 Pro | 12GB + 256GB | €1,399 |
| Xiaomi 18 Pro | 12GB + 512GB | €1,599 |
| Xiaomi 18 Pro Max | 12GB + 256GB | €1,599 |
| Xiaomi 18 Pro Max | 12GB + 512GB | €1,799 |
Interestingly, these prices are €50 lower than an earlier European leak. That’s a small relief, but we’re still looking at some of Xiaomi’s most expensive smartphones.

For comparison, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra launched in Europe at €1,499 with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The new Xiaomi 18 Pro could cost almost as much while offering less memory and storage in its base configuration.
Of course, Xiaomi hasn’t officially confirmed these French prices yet.
Smaller Batteries for Europe? Here’s the Catch
The price isn’t the only surprising detail. According to the leaked European specifications, Xiaomi is reportedly reducing battery capacities for both models compared with their Chinese versions.
| Specification | Xiaomi 18 Pro | Xiaomi 18 Pro Max |
|---|---|---|
| China battery | 7,000mAh | 8,500mAh |
| Europe battery | 6,000mAh | 7,050mAh |
| Wired charging (Europe) | 90W | 100W |
| Wireless charging | 50W | 50W |
That’s a 1,000mAh reduction for the Pro and a massive 1,450mAh reduction for the Pro Max.European energy-label database information reportedly supports these figures, listing nominal battery capacities of 5,880mAh and 6,915mAh, respectively. The larger numbers in the table represent their expected typical capacities.
I find this particularly disappointing. Xiaomi has been pushing impressive battery technology in recent years, so seeing European customers potentially receive smaller batteries while paying premium prices feels like a frustrating compromise.
Still, battery capacity doesn’t tell the entire story. Software optimization, chipset efficiency, and display power consumption will determine how these phones perform in everyday use.
Flagship Cameras, Snapdragon Power and New Colors
Despite the pricing concerns, the Xiaomi 18 Pro series brings some seriously impressive hardware.
Both phones debuted in China in September with Leica-branded camera systems featuring two 200MP sensors, a secondary rear display, and Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 platform. The Pro Max gets the more powerful Extreme variant, making it the performance-focused option in Xiaomi’s flagship lineup.
European buyers can reportedly expect three standard colors: Black, White, and Burgundy (Velvet Red). A Cosmic Blue option may also arrive as a Xiaomi official-store exclusive in France.
However, there’s another limitation worth mentioning. While Chinese configurations offer up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, the leaked French lineup currently includes only 12GB RAM with 256GB or 512GB storage
That’s not necessarily a dealbreaker, but at these prices, I’d love to see Xiaomi offer more flexibility.
What I Think
I’ve always appreciated Xiaomi for bringing powerful hardware and ambitious camera technology to smartphones. The Xiaomi 18 Pro series continues that tradition, but its European pricing could make it a tougher recommendation.
Paying €1,399 for the base Pro is already a big commitment. Spending €1,799 on the Pro Max while getting a smaller battery than the Chinese version makes the decision even harder.
Rising memory and component costs may explain some of the pricing pressure, but customers will ultimately judge these phones by what they receive for their money.
The good news is that Xiaomi has confirmed international plans for the series, with a launch expected before the end of 2026. The exact European release date remains unannounced, although preorders could reportedly begin in November.
For now, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max European prices remain leaked figures rather than official retail prices. I’m hoping Xiaomi has some attractive launch offers planned.
Would you pay €1,799 for the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, or has Xiaomi pushed its flagship pricing too far? Let me know in the comments!
