Xiaomi has laid its cards on the table. The company has published a detailed, phase-by-phase schedule for how HyperOS 4 will reach its enormous device catalog, according to a report from Nokiamob — and it’s a rollout that stretches across four months and touches practically every category of hardware Xiaomi sells.
One caveat worth flagging up front: this confirmed timeline is for the Chinese market specifically. Xiaomi’s international beta program is already running, though, and stable global releases have historically followed the domestic schedule by just a few weeks, so it’s a reasonable preview for owners outside China too.
Phase 1: Already Live
The rollout is already underway for Xiaomi’s newest flagships. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra (including its Satellite Edition), the 17 Pro Max, 17 Pro, and standard 17, the MIX Flip 2, and the full REDMI K90 lineup — Pro Max, Pro, the Lamborghini Edition, and the base model — are all receiving HyperOS 4 right now. The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro and Pad 8 tablets are in this first wave as well.
Phase 2: By October 31
The update moves to last year’s flagships by the end of October, covering the Xiaomi 16 Ultra, 16 Pro, and 16, along with several REDMI K80 and Turbo 4 variants. The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra joins on the tablet side, and this is also where TVs enter the picture for the first time, with several 2025 Mini LED and Redmi-branded models included.
Phase 3: By November 15
This is a big one for anyone still running a Xiaomi 15 or 14 Ultra. Both series arrive here, alongside the MIX Fold 4 and a long list of REDMI K80, K70, and Turbo 3 phones — including the Harry Potter special edition of the Turbo 3. Five separate Pad 7-series tablets round out this wave.
Phase 4: By November 30
The MIX Flip, Civi 5 Pro, REDMI K70 Pro, and the newer REDMI Note 15 series land in late November, along with several Redmi Pad 2 variants and two more TV lines.
Phase 5: December 2026
December is where Xiaomi clears the bulk of its remaining catalog in one sweep. The Xiaomi 13 series — now two generations removed from the current flagship — finally gets HyperOS 4, alongside the 14 Pro, MIX Fold 3, and a wide spread of REDMI Note 13 and 14 phones. This phase also marks the first appearance of wearables on the schedule, with the Xiaomi Watch S4 and S3 both included, plus several Pad 6-series tablets and three more TV models.
Phase 6: January 2027
The final wave, arriving in January 2027, shifts entirely away from phones and tablets. It’s built around rounding out Xiaomi’s smart home lineup — older TV models like the TV S Series 2024, plus the company’s full range of smart speakers (Xiaomi Sound Pro, Sound, and Sound Move) and its Xiaoai speaker line. Two Smart Home Display models close out the list.
Why This Rollout Structure Makes Sense
Staggering a software update across four months isn’t unusual for a company with a catalog this large — it’s actually the standard approach among major Android manufacturers. Pushing an OS overhaul to every eligible device simultaneously risks overwhelming update servers and makes it much harder to catch device-specific bugs before they reach millions of users. Newer flagships go first partly because they’re the highest-visibility devices and partly because they typically have more headroom to handle a major software overhaul without performance hiccups.
The practical takeaway for anyone waiting: check which phase your device falls into, and don’t be surprised if an older phone or tablet doesn’t see HyperOS 4 until close to the very end of the year. If you’re on a 2025 or earlier device, patience is going to be part of the deal regardless of what region you’re in.
